چکیده

The purpose of the study is to assess influence scaffold composition and properties on cellular proliferation mineralization a whey protein isolate (WPI) scaffold. Scaffolds varying concentrations WPI, calcium chloride, amylopectin are seeded with cells, growth curves constructed from cell density measurements following incubation. Non-linear regression yields kinetic parameters which compared for quantitative assessment performance. show biocompatibility ability sustain culture length study. For up 14 days, data well described by exponential growth. Thereafter, saturation behavior appears, fit sigmoidal model. seeding efficiency improves increasing WPI concentration, peaking at 5 mM CaCl2, decreases added amylopectin. constant almost independent composition, possible increases CaCl2 retardation composition. cultured in differentiation conditions, shows development mineralized matrix both acellular surfaces osteoblast cultures. unmodified gel promote model preosteoblast provides valuable trends concentration effects further design.

A Review on Commonly Used Scaffolds in Tissue Engineering for Bone Tissue Regeneration

Introduction: Bone is one of the tissues that have a true potential for regeneration. However, sometimes the bone defects are so outsized that there is no chance of bone self-repair and restoration or the damage is such that it is not possible to repair with medical or surgical interventions. In these situations, bone grafts are the treatment of choice, but due to several obstacles, including l...

Porous ceramic bone scaffolds for vascularized bone tissue regeneration.

Hydroxyapatite scaffolds with a multi modal porosity designed for use in tissue engineering of vascularized bone graft substitutes were prepared by three dimensional printing. Depending on the ratio of coarse (mean particle size 50 microm) to fine powder (mean particle size 4 microm) in the powder granulate and the sintering temperature total porosity was varied from 30% to 64%. While macroscop...

Bone Tissue Engineering: Scaffolds with Osteoinductivity for Bone Regeneration

Biological mechanism of bone repair mainly involves both osteoconductivity and osteoinductivity. Scaffolds with osteoinductivity can give biological signals to stimulate the proliferation and differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells and osteoblast-like cells to promote bone regeneration. Although most scaffolds for bone tissue engineering demonstrate osteoconductivity, they lack os...

Aligned and random nanofibrous nanocomposite scaffolds for bone tissue engineering

Aligned and random nanocomposite nanofibrous scaffolds were electrospun from polycaprolactone (PCL), poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVA) and hydroxyapatite nanoparticles (nHA). The morphology and mechanical characteristics of the nanofibers were evaluated using scanning electron microscopy and tensile testing, respectively. Scanning electron microscopy revealed fibers with an average diameter of 123 ± 3...

Properties of Cast Films Made from Different Ratios of Whey Protein Isolate, Hydrolysed Whey Protein Isolate and Glycerol

Whey protein isolate (WPI)-based cast films are very brittle, due to several chain interactions caused by a large amount of different functional groups. In order to overcome film brittleness, plasticizers, like glycerol, are commonly used. As a result of adding plasticizers, the free volume between the polymer chains increases, leading to higher permeability values. The objective of this study ...
